The invasion of facebook and twitter or a necessary update?

Twitter and facebook have definitely become a way of life for many.  What some would consider a stupid waste of time, a growing number of people consider a 'primary means of communication'.  

I do think there needs to be some better limits set on what people post.  Do you think this is taking it a little too far?
