Mercedes left today on our student ministries missions trip to Mexico. She's going to have an amazing time. Tonight when we went upstairs to our rooms, there on all three of our beds - Hudson, Emerson, Naomi & I - was a personal letter from Mercedes.
She spoke (wrote) words of encouragement, affirmation and blessing, over her brothers and thanked and honoured Naomi & I.
This afternoon as the vans were loading up preparing to leave I couldn't help but think of how proud I was of Mercedes, and how fast she was growing up.
This evening as I reflect on the thoughtfulness of her notes to all of us I am even more proud of her (if that is possible) and so thankful for her maturity.

It has been amazing to witness the growth of Mercedes in the last year. I see such potential in that young woman of God and we too are so proud of her and thankful to be a part of such a Great Family...
